I get about 200 feet from my car and I start worrying that I didn’t lock it….so I go back, and…of course…I did!

At 501 days (or revolutions of their planet around its star, whichever works for you), their house would have already burned down.

Mars would already have burned down. Of course, it is red, so we wouldn’t see the fire…

Woman told a story to the Reader’s Digest that every year she would be ironing clothes right before the family would leave on their vacation (I know: why wait until then?); and when they’d get in the car finally and get to backing out of the driveway, she’d scream, “Stop the car! I left the iron on!” Whereupon she’d go back in the house and realize that she hadn’t left the iron on at all. Then there was the day they were leaving on vacation and as always she screamed, “Stop the car!” Whereupon hubby jammed on the brakes so hard people were thrown back into their seats and bounced forward. He then made a grand sweeping gesture toward the car floor between his legs, reached under the car seat, and pulled up the iron. After that, the family wasn’t ready to go on vacation until Dad put the iron in the car.
