Yesterday there were some comments that Fritzi must be Jewish because the comedians the Ritz Brothers were. Well she may be, but we’ll leave that to Guy to comment upon. Yes the Ritz Brothers were Jewish, but as with so many in show biz, they had changed the family name. They had been born as the Joachim Brothers.
Of course if you are looking for some real old time Jewish fellows, try Yeshua (Joshua), Saul and Simon (Shimon). Historians gave them the Greek and Roman names that they are identified by today and the ones most will use when talking of them this Sunday -—-Jesus, Paul and Peter.
