It’s still “their song”. My daughter and I have a special song -“She’s Always17” by Harry Chapin.

Prof: He’s no doubt been singing that song since she was born. No doubt telling her it was their special song the whole time, too.

Since she knew it was her song, she must have known the words.

I thought it was written for Susan Sunshine.

In the lasr panel on the middle row they are singing it together. Joe Cobb for Father of the Year! Every child should have such a dad.

Wow! I didn’t know Marcy can play video games too!

Nice tribute to a great song. Well done.

Today’s Ziggy has a man coming to collect royalties for the song Ziggy sang in the shower. I was wondering about that when I read this strip.

Good one, Imanartisthoney! My father had “My Pretty Girl” played on one of my birthdays. I used to sing "K-K-K-Katy to my granddaughter Katie when she was a tot. Special songs are really special for kids!

I thought my Grandpa made up “Bushel and a Peck” for me.

In the movie Yankee Doodle Dandy George M. Cohan (played by James Cagney) comments that he was in his teens before he realized that the parades and fireworks on the 4th of July weren’t to celebrate his birthday.

I used to sing “You Are My Sunshine” to my youngest son when he was a baby. I doubt he remembers that, but thanks so much Robb for that GREAT memory! BTW my oldest son is Rob! :-)
