I’m sorry, but that’s not the “Not that Great Gatsby”.

That’s the “Not Even Barely Acceptable Gatsby.”He “throws” parties the way athletes “throw” games…. purposely makes them sound so uninviting no one will come…That’s how he gets return invitations without having to entertain.

Alexi…. with “regular” limes or bottled lime juice, you’re making lime pie, not key lime pie. It’s like saying you made kumquat pie with oranges.“Key limes” are a different fruit… way smaller, somewhat tastier, a bit more sour…. and they have yellow juice, not green. The peel can be either color. Around here we get “Mexican limes”… which are a type of key lime, but look a little greener.Of course, even regular lime pie beats my aunt’s “key lime pie” in the 60’s…. which featured whipped green jello and Cool Whip. Ick.

Is there something about pumpkin and soda in the real Gatsby? Or is this just random?

Crystal clear cola – have you tried to buy a bottle off eBay lately? You’ll have better luck getting a lot of different kinds of wines.
