Forget-me-nots? Ever since the neocons, peace has been a taboo subject.

You listed the artist’s name, the region he lives in, and the name of a terrorist group operating in the area, but forgot to mention the name of the country. Its name is ISRAEL!

Indeed , no gilded cage for Peace, in fact a concrete wall would be more accurate.

It’s interesting to note that this cartoon doesn’t seem to be singling out Israel as the culprit…It’s about as generic as they come. So I wonder…if this had been drawn by say, a Dutch artist instead of a Palestinian, would so many of the people responding be taking upsides like this?

    You have to remember something…

As ‘good Chrisshuns’, Tea-party republicans only want to hear the truth.

Therefore, anything they hear that they don’t like, MUST be a lie.

asked “@omQ RSo where in the world would let you Jews live in peace?”

Me? Would? Let?The Palestinian Jews were living in relative peace, along side Palestinian Arabs & Palestinian Christians.Europeans, on the other hand, colluded in the Nazi genocide of Jews living in central & east Europe. Europeans killed Europeans and drove many of those Europeans out. Where would they be safe? Why not where other Jews lived in peace with its neighbours? So, when the mandated territories were partitioned, under the auspices of the new U.N. (but controlled by major powers & empires) and some of the actual inhabitants objected, why did it all become so unfriendly? (well, things were already becoming decidedly unfriendly a couple of generations before but that’s another story)

“There are Palestinians in Israel’s Parliment. Name one Jew that was in the palestinian gov.”

Olives & oranges! (hey, all you hear about are olive & orange groves being bulldozed, not so much apple orchards)

I somehow don’t think any Israeli settler in illegal settlements would be very much interested in being represented in any Palestinian government or authority. They don’t recognise it in the first place, which is why they simply put up shop in the West Bank without so much as a by your leave.

“According to you anywhere the Jews are not the majority or not under sharia law”

According to me or according to what you just wrote for me? Man, that’s some Aunt Sally! You are a strange little man, aren’t you? You set the bait and whatever bit, you had your answer.

‘Sorry the right answer is Israel… any other answer would sound dogmatic’That makes no sense. I also note you had no answer to DrC’s comment.

said ""Well, maybe because you cannot conceive of the thought of letting the Jews live in peace in Israel. “

Are you being obtuse on purpose?Omq R had said "The Palestinian Jews were living in relative peace, along side Palestinian Arabs & Palestinian Christians. ….. Where would they be safe? Why not where other Jews lived in peace with its neighbours?”Explain to me what in my words shows that I cannot conceive of peoples of different religions living in peace in Israel or Palestine?

Gresch asked: ‘How many live in your town?’Huh? I wouldn’t know as I never ask about someone’s religion and how relevant is it? Were you asking about Palestinians of all faiths or just Jewish people in general? Ok, I’ll play along…I wouldn’t have a clue about Palestinians. In my home-town, which at the time of my youth had approx. 60 000 inhabitants, it had 58 places of worship; of which only one was a synagogue and only one a Catholic church, no mosques, and no other temples. There was no discrimination against Jews or Christians (although many Dutch Reformist Lutherans seemed to dislike the Catholics intensely) but there was discrimination against Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, atheists…Hopefully a little different now.

How many in your town, Jewish & Palestinians of any or no faith?

Where I live now, hmm, dunno, about 2/3rds of those who also profess to be Jewish live here in London, some 175 000? I think I once heard a rabbi mention on a radio show that there were over 400 synagogues in Britain. I guess pretty well established. I used to live in Upper Clapton, Hackney, near a prominent Haredi community, who lived cheek by jowl with Turkish and Caribbean migrants. Seemed pretty peaceful to me.What relevance does your question have?

I put it to you that you cannot conceive of the thought of letting Palestinians live in peace in Israel/Palestine.

Whereas you’re in denial and called gibberish DrC’s posts, I saw someone who was caught out in his own little baiting game. Anyone else reading this thread (don’t worry, at most it will by now only have 3 or 4 people reading it) would agree that you were out-foxed.
