You can cook the figures, but most Endtowners would rather cook with their own milk and eggs.

I think this is the funniest thing that you have ever written Aaron. Government poll made by optimists. Willing to claim that the answer is pro instead of against. A little hemming and hawwing by the pollest could be translated in what any way the poller wants it to sound. AND probably does. I have taken in the past and even yesterday… l-2-3-4-5 as 1 as not interested to 5 as greatly interested. OHH Yes. Blessed Be-

It may be vile, but is it better than beans? Seven out of eight poll responses apparently say so.

Allgood is all bad in the popular pressThe pollster is parroting, data’s a messBut there’s still a sole Endtown denizen leftStill, this takes away from Allgood’s seeming heftSo rather than strengthening conflicts to comeThis action leaves one side quite weak (and quite dumb)Since Endtown the Comic is always first-rateI’ll bet there are twists here, ’ere this would deflate=|====/ Level HeadVote for Endtown 2.0And for Doc Rat, tooThe Endtown ForumThe Endtown AuctionThe Endtown Books

Well, now how would you answer a poll where the polling agency knew your name and address and probably controls the same rat pack who shot up the residences of two well liked people and manhandled, er, womanhandled, er, ah, rathandled, uh,er, ahem mutanthandled Maude and Holly, pleasant people(THWI) in a small community of 7,000 or so trying to survive or just get by in a dangerous world. I would tell the polltaker what I thought they wanted to hear, if anything. It is Friday, and we can only speculate what was published and what the gossip game produced. Jacob J will try to turn these events to his advantage. Please remember to vote for Endtown 2.0(this strip) and Jenner’s Doc Rat and Endtown at TopWebcomics. Thanks, JusSayin

People may not like using said “bi-products”, but they dislike being harrased by rats more. That or people like answering polls, but hate moving to a meeting like that (generally people are more talk than walk).

If this were in colour, I’d imagine Allgood as being dressed in smart, fashionable tones of purple, cerise, electric yellow and such. All as a rejection of the black and white fur he’s been stuck with after his mutation.

This comic needs the Price Is Right sad tuba sound. The Sad Tuba really does convey the utter failure of the person while also mocking them in the most lyrically pleasing fashion. Also, it’s hilarious.

I guess that’s the end of Octavius Allgood and his part in all this. But Linda, Maude, and Holly are still locked up, and the Security Rats and the High Council are still out of control. (And who is that guy out there?)

There’s a difference between finding it morally wrong and morally objectionable (for instance I find eating dog or cat objectionable, but I don’t go after the people who do so w/ a flamethrower)

The poll might actually be correct in which Endtowners do consider cooking with Mutant Products icky (as Holly had noted it is taboo) but are even more troubled by having the rats burst in, arrest and possibly execute three people on the grounds that they used mutant products.

Poll could be accurate but out of date. It takes a couple of days to conduct a good poll. The arrests would have force people to actually think about the issue. Weakly held beliefs about a subject people aren’t thinking about can change very quickly. Compare any polling about whether the US should go to war on Dec 6, 1941 to a poll taken on Dec 8th.

Any one know Plan B????Maybe he can dig up more support in his moralistic mind. If not may be Velda can take his mind off of it for a few minutes. The stats still work however. That one in the audience out there makes it a 100% approval rating!!!!!! (Crunch those numbers)This is funny but there is still danger. The ones now running the Council still hold sway as they command the Security forces. The Security force will have to be turned to prevent casualties. Info has got to get to them about how they are being used. They could be on lock down to prevent them from getting outside information. They may only be getting info from the Council and we all know that is messed up.For Security it may all come down to their “Code of Conduct” manual and what it says. Remember they cant shoot you in the back because the manual says you can’t do that.(I wonder if they found out if they could shoot themselves. They were researching that sometime back. Vol1)Enjoy the weekend. Be safe on St Patty’s day.

One of the good things for Endtown in all of this is that people are going to be talking amongst themselves about how the High Council and Security operate. Perhaps the people will decide the system needs tweaking.

Many will also be talking about their taboos and social mores (and if there are any eels in the canals, there might be social morays). Not all of them will, but some definitely will and most on either side will think that Security was way out of line.

If there could be an actual debate (not the name-calling, mudslinging kind we are used to) between Jake and Allgood I think the “common” people would find a middle ground. If Allgood is sincere about “remaining human”, and not merely altruistic and power hungry (we haven’t seen enough of him to judge, yet. He may be exactly like first impressions painted him.) he may even try to defend the lot.

All this because a newspaper editor had the courage to do his job rather than what he thought would make him popular. This was the ideal behind our own first amendment.

I’ll bet if he polled the audience he’d find them 100% in agreement with his views. (within the statisitcal margin of error and allowing for sampling bias)

The Council may only know what information is fed to them by a liaison… Whoever controls that information can control the Council and what they know of the world outside. Velda also runs the polls and can manipulate them however she likes, and she’s feeding the polling information to Allgood. Her name may as well be Wormtongue.

Not to go in an entirely different direction but…….Saw a bumper sticker the other dayHillary Clinton/Michelle Obama 2016.A Maxine story where she was admonished about the word “towel head”. She was informed it is in fact a small sheet. So she now uses the term “sheet head”.Enjoy St Patrick’s Day

its always hilarious how the one guy to show up sits waaaay back there when he easily could have taken the front row. It also seems the people who find this behavior deviant ALSO acknowledge its none of their business. For example, I would never engage in gay sex but I wouldn’t do anything to prevent other people from doing it if that’s what they wanted.

There are some here that are stating that the little guy in the audience is Maurice the cafe chef. Well I beg to differ…Maurice in my MHO would welcome mutant by-product in his cafe…as he is so sick of beans…there are just so many ways to prepare legumes.I check out the pic by zooming in 200% and then enlarged the strip panel. Yes, he does look a bit like him…But I’m sure there are many mutated beings that have similar appearances. To me he looks like a turtle with a pork pie hat. Also… Maurice’s accent would not have just disappear or cleared up. Just saying.

Yesterday someone said that Allgood was wearing gloves to hide himself from his mutation.I am afraid that person is mistaken. Allgood is a panda. Pandas have black fur on their paws, legs, across their chests, upper backs and around their eyes and ears. Even the tail is black (Panel 2).Is he wearing shoes? Yes.Is he wearing a flashy tie? Yes.Is he wearing gloves? No.

Aaron you are so into telling it like it really is, especially the one about when the newspaper man said " how can we afford it" It’s threatening our whole way of life" or End town. I don’t recall your exact words. but having the "religiously Fanatical “morality” types. The “purity” types and all.Plus it is a fun thing to read!I’m wondering if Marks might be somehow on the council, maybe playing Devil’s advocate.
