Hmm. I don’t recall reading that the JG11 ever flew in the vicinity of Verdun. They usually patrolled up in the Flanders region, and maybe somewhat south. Not that it’s important here. Anybody more versed on Richthofen know?
@Corpcasselburry – Actually, one of the reasons they didn’t issue parachutes to WWI pilots was because they feared they would be prone to bailing out of their aircraft rather than fighting.
@Skeeterhawk – Jasta 11 rolled in to JG1 (the Flying Circus) I think the closest they got to Verdun was Cambrai. Maybe Snoopy ended up going North and they flew South….
