So far the public options have done a much better job of holding down costs than private insurers.

In other news, after slashing the budget for family planning services, Texas Republicans saw a big jump in the number of births that will cost taxpayers $273 million. They are quietly trying to restore $100 million to the family planning budget. I’m guessing their polls also showed most of the babies will grow up to vote Democrat.
