Gallup says Barry’s approval rating is only 46% now.Not even half of the “political climate” agrees with him.

Scumbag Elephant meme:“We’ll have a laser-like focus on jobs!”Spends entire congressional sessions on trying to repeal the ACA and trying to ban abortions.

From “Politicians see voters as more conservative than they actually are” in Salon.com: “We see further evidence of elite misperceptions from a fascinating new study by David Broockman and Christopher Skovron. They conducted a survey in 2012 of thousands of state legislative candidates, asking them what they thought their constituents believed about such issues as same sex marriage and health care reform. Then they used a survey to determine constituent opinion on these same issues. What they found was that the politicians systematically misperceived their constituents’ views, believing them to be roughly ten points more conservative on both issues than they actually were. The effect was bigger for conservative candidates but still true for liberal ones.”Here is the study referenced: http://www.vanderbilt.edu/csdi/miller-stokes/08_MillerStokes_BroockmanSkovron.pdf

Nonsense. Far to the left is Hugo Chavez — and even he was not as far to the left as he could have been as he engaged with businesses. What passes for “left” in this country is moderate.Having said that, when you actually poll people on specific proposals, turns out a lot of them — Republicans AND Democrats — want the Progressive proposals! See this article in, of all things, Business Insider:http://www.businessinsider.com/sequester-poll-replacement-bill-plans-obama-republicans-2013-2

“Please show us where any elephant spent an entire congressional session trying to ban abortions.”Well, you can look at these:Abortion-related bills 112th Congress 2011/12 – 65 specifically regarding abortion or with abortion-related amendments added.Abortion-related bills 113th Congress – 16 so far.

“Please show us where any elephant spent an entire congressional session trying to ban abortions. But you are living in the past.BTW, the ACA is going to bankrupt us.”The ‘elephants’ have figured out that they can do far more to deny legal abortion at the state level, but as corzak showed, that hasn’t stopped Congressional Republicans from wasting time on the issue.Healthcare costs are going to bankrupt us. It doesn’t matter if we pay out of pocket, through private insurance or through Medicare/Medicaid. The trajectory of healthcare costs is simply unsustainable. So far the public options have done a much better job of holding down costs than private insurers.

In other news, after slashing the budget for family planning services, Texas Republicans saw a big jump in the number of births that will cost taxpayers $273 million. They are quietly trying to restore $100 million to the family planning budget. I’m guessing their polls also showed most of the babies will grow up to vote Democrat.

You stated “Under Obama, middle-class families have seen their incomes decline. Millions have fallen into poverty. The income gap is widening.” That is all due to the mess your great leader GW left the country in. You make your statements like Pres Obama took over a thriving economy. Right wing amnesia is sooooooo funny (and sad)

“But let’s talk about your man, Obama. He’s running the show now. What’s HE done in the way of jobs.”

How about we talk about how many job bills your Republican buddies have introduced that had nothing to do with jobs.
