About as long as Clark Griswold mourned Aunt Edna.

An armadillo must be resilient to get through life with even a shred of sanity.

My ex-girlfriend got brain lock one day and couldn’t remember what a possum is called. She said, “You know, one of those animals that run so slow across the road.”

Mr. Armadillo is a Kübler-Ross superstar. All five stages of grief, all in panel two. But can he dunk?

Mr. Armadillo doesn’t look like he has much of a jump. He might dribble some. Can he take a hit? And, most of all, where has our star center gone? Mr. Snuffles!

If Mr. Snuffles makes four, who can the fifth member be?………..Perhaps, Toon Boy.

I didn’t know armadillos could mourn. You learn something new every day.

Why do I suddenly have this vision of all the armadillo lovers out there rising up and complaining how harsh and insensitive this is on all the wonderful armadillos out there… Armadillo Lovers Against Rude Men or something like that…

Looks like pig is wearing San Diego State colors. Not good if they are playing Florida Gulf Coast.

Cartoon armadillos bear a foreboding resemblence to basketballs. I see a double dribble in his future.

As someone who loves sardonic humor and armadillos, I’ve been having mixed feelings about these comics lately. However, they did inspire me to write a parody about armadillos to the tune of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro.

Maybe you can work this factoid in somehow, Steve. A Texan decades ago, now, told me that the reason why there are so many flattened armadillos is that their startle reflex is to jump straight up whereupon they strike vehicular undercarriages and the rest is history.
