Like the 55MPH signs around Atlanta. Merely suggestions.

Where have you been Linguist? We have had some dandy troll wars over at Doonesbury and here. Dr. Tucci and the old Sarge. Lots of fun. Welcome back.

I think it’s interesting that six of the ten (the majority) are about how to deal with your fellow man, not God.

Lawyers are like WMDs. The other guy has his so you need yours. All is fine until someone uses theirs. Then everything gets F***ed up

There is of course always a stickler to the rules in every crowd or profession.

Consider the lawyer who got pulled over for ‘failure to stop… at the stop sign. The Lawyer tried to use the ’I slowed down and no one was coming… what’s the difference? Slowing down was good enough because there wasn’t any cars approaching the intersection.’ excuse.

The officer explained it this way. Sir, here is the difference. If I were to pull you out of your vehicle and begin beating on you with my night stick and you told me to stop, then would my slowing down be good enough or would you want me to cease? Stop means stop not slow down.

Did anybody actually see what was written on the tablets or did he make it up as he went along?

weird thing is when it says do not kill, and sword into plowshares, but later it says every man strap on their swords. so, this book contradicts itself? but, this book is the word of god, written by some old jewish men 2000 years ago. so, we just pick and choose whatever fits our view.

I always thought they were 10 good, but rather obvious, suggestions. Like, “Always stop at a railroad crossing”. Not stopping is an option, but could result in ruining a perfectly good day. Up to you, of course.

Remove “trial attorney” and insert “democrat dealing with illegal immigration.”

And with that, Moses broke the third tablet over his head, reducing the number of commandments and trial lawyers.

They banned the 10 Commandments from government property, why not ban the Constitution?

A few decades ago the members of The Who had a pretty bad reputation. In one city, the lead singer destroyed his hotel room. It was so bad that the prosecution actually sought to have him declared criminally insane and committed to an institution. The defense attorney was able to get him off by using a Biblical defense. -—————————————————————Thou shalt not commit a Daltrey.

Manu (Hinduism) is Noah and Moses rolled into one. “The Laws of Manu” really WERE suggestions, but if you read the Wiki’d article, I think you may agree these closely parallel The Laws of Natural Selection, so are the laws we live and die by.
