One of the most racist comics I’ve seen recently.

Gee, that really does sound like another global superpower as well. But at least the Chinese are investing in clean energy as a national priority.

I always knew Oliphant was a xenophobe, at least where Asia is concerned.

Apikoros said, <b<@JohnnyDiego‘As they say in Sotho, “Gracias!” ’

Dumela Apikoros, Ooops, Dumelang Apikoros & Johnny!O kae?Ke a leboha for showing me my birth country’s map (it totally surrounds little ol’ Lesotho).Ke tswa South Africa. Born a few miles north of Lesotho.

Actually, seSotho was the one language I had 3 years of and learnt almost nothing. :(Seriously, we had maybe like 5 classes in 3 bloody years (equivalent to 5th to 7th grades). To my eternal regret, back in those days it just wasn’t taken seriously. :pBUT I did learn how to greet, thank, count to ten and comment on the weather. :-| Also, Rabobi! which means webcrawler = Spiderman! Dunno why but they dubbed the cartoon Spiderman to Sesotho and I used to watch it. Anyway. The interesting thing was, in Botswana, they speak Tswana and it is fairly close to Sesotho. Greeting’s the same but thank you / Ke a leboha = Ke a lebocha (soft gutteral on the “cha”. So I impressed my wife on our honeymoon when we visited Gaberone. Alas, we never did get round to driving through Lesotho. Next time, when I show my daughter the ol’ neighbourhood.

As they say in my mother-tongue: “De nada!”

Anyway, although Oliphant is being a tad jingoist today, one of his complaints isn’t far off the mark: “Chinese Pollution study Blocked”

‘Adrian Snare said, less than a minute agoChina has ten times the population compared to us. They should be number one..’

’Fraid not, it only has 4.3 times your population. And it will be number 1 on every leader board sooner than predicted.
