I have stated this on many other posts. Future generations will indeed by very unhappy if this generation leaves them a high debt level based upon cleaning up the air, water, and lands of this spaceship Earth. However, such debt can always be renegotiated, or in the worst case overturned.

However, if the pollution is allowed to continue, giving future generations air they cannot breath, water they cannot drink, nor land the cannot live on, then those generations will really have something to hate the past generations about!!

That is, if those future generations are not all dead in a world so polluted that it can no longer even be lived upon by human beings (or possibly even other life) at all.

And that would be truly a cosmic level tragedy!!!!!

You have noticed, haven’t you, that the GOP is already trying to call the sequester the “Obama sequester?” No one beats the GOP at the blame game, especially when it is really their fault.

So, then, do you say that conservatives are for strong environmental regulation that will help make our planet cleaner and more habitable? Or do you think the corporations will voluntarily clean up the pollution that they have been dumping into our air, seas, and lands unabated for decades? If you really want to have clean air, what exactly do you intend to do to reduce the mess they’ve made?

“Conservatives don’t want to breath polluted air any more than anybody else.”Yeah, but I’d rather not be breathing my clean air out of a bottle sold by Exxon. I figure that’s their long term market strategy to stay in business after the fossil fuels are gone.

The radical “relgious-right” in the Republican (TEA) party still follow the idiocy of James Watt, “use up all the resources for profit today, because Jesus us coming back tomorrow and WANTS us to destroy the planet”. (quoted as accurately as anything Faux News comes up with)

We passed laws to save the nation, and the planet, the Republicans have made every regulatory, and legislative, effort to destroy all progress we’ve made. “Pay me now or pay me later” doesn’t affect folks who expect to be dead, they make me think of shooters like Dorner or Lamda, self-destruction is okay with them.

I’m not sure what you mean by welfare clans, and don’t even Want to imagine it other than I don’t think it exists. The real welfare was eliminated in the late 80’s. (Or near that time. )that is when they also emptied out mental hospitals too. After this sequester There will most likely be a huge jump in homelessness. Democrats have Always been the party that cares about the environment!
