I try to be fair about these things and see both sides of issues, but it really galls me when politicians whether R or D trot out little kids and use them as pawns for their own political gain. The pols love to USE the little kids to tug at your heartstrings to make a point which cannot be made with logic.And, of course the kids are against guns – they have no frame of reference and have (probably) never been exposed to the idea that a gun can be used for defensive or deterrent purposes. How often does our media make an issue of people using guns to stop or deter crime. And in the final analysis is there any doubt that these kids are just parroting whatever their parents believe – I know found myself doing the same thing as a kid.But what makes this behavior more egregious in this particular case is that the party using the little kids is the same party that condones the process that would keep them from ever becoming children.If they are going to ban guns, fine – but do it on the basis of logic and reason and stop the tear jerking juvenile appeal to sway the great unwashed masses.
