I will admit I am guilty of this occasionally. Like yesterday. I went to my favourite Canadian airline site but my browser was highjacked and I ended up with adware on my computer. I cleared that without difficulty and continued on to book flights. I did not notice that I was on a Canadian airline site but the US currency was selected. So I booked two fights within Canada with a Canadian airline in US dollars that was charged to my credit card (on a Canadian bank of course) that charged me 3% to convert back to Canadian dollars – as if air travel is not expensive enough as it is. Ah well, teach me to get distracted while shopping online.
