Charlene: Salad? Cathy: Salad. Charlene: I have to start exercising. Cathy: I've been working out five times a week since June 1. Charlene: Since June 1?? That's fabulous! Cathy:...Well, I got the flu, so I missed a few weeks. Charlene: But you're DOING it! Cathy: ...Then some work things came up.. ...Then I was out of town...I sort of got off my schedule. Charlene: But you were doing it five times a week! Cathy: Actually, it was probably more like four times a week... ...Actually, I did it five times a week once. Twice a week three times, and haven't really been back. Charlene: Oh, so you're not exercising either. Cathy: What are you talking about?? I have a whole program! MY REGULAR PROGRAM IS TO WORK OUT FIVE TIMES A WEEK!! Charlene: Ah...that explains all the rippling muscles. Cathy: Non-exercisers just don't understand commitment...

Final comment is a great example of the kettle calling the pot black.

Cathy Guisewite just posted on her Instagram that she was busy planning her daughter’s wedding and that’s why we haven’t seen anything from her in a while.

I think exercise would be a lot more doable if we didn’t need to change clothes to do it, and then change clothes back again after we are done. It’s not the exercise that bothers me. It’s the logistics.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, Cathy … But, at least she’s making an effort (small as it may be).
HI, MOM. Good Sunday Morning, Clan.

If Cathy would get out of the house and walk Electra at least a mile every day, that would help both her AND her dog in the weight-loss department quite a bit. Maybe not as much as going to the gym 5 days a week would, but she’s not doing that anyhow, so why not give it a try instead? My husband and I walk between 2 and 3 miles throughout our subdivision every evening after dinner and each one averages around 18 minutes or so apiece. Even if she doesn’t have enough time (or stamina) to go that far, surely she can spare around 18 to 20 minutes and do at least one? I don’t have anywhere NEAR the energy these days I used to have, but I still make myself do it anyhow because I know that while very tiring, it’s still good for my health ….. and if I can do it, then so can she! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
.
Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all had a really great weekend! ♥
B/t/w: Cathy Guisewite posted on her Facebook and Instagram pages earlier today that the reason for her absence over the last 5 months was because she was helping her daughter plan her wedding that had been cancelled twice because of the pandemic. No word as to when we’ll see any new Cathy Commiserations comics again, but hopefully it will be soon!

Having a plan and executing the plan are two very different things. Although thinking about it does burn calories I doubt that it is enough to make any difference in weight.
Got my exercise over the weekend – two days of running (well walking for most of the day then almost crawling after 8 hours of it) between the stage and the lighting booth – and up and down the ladders a few times. Tired but feeling good right now.
Hope everyone else did something on the weekend to make them feel good.

We drive 25 miles every day to walk at a really nice metro-park and get to walk around among the cranes, feed the other birds, see the changing seasons, and it has helped my foot to get back to almost normal. We walk about 2 miles every day.
