    I wonder if our body does make different sorts of fat from different sorts of foods? Is some fat denser that others? As much as I’ve learned about getting fat and losing fat, I don’t really know much about fat.

    Most of the items she listed have too much sugar. Food has had too much sugar added to it over the years, including high fructose corn syrup, and I’m sure her “sophisticated” 90’s fat would be reduced if she reduced her consumption of sugar.

    Oh, Cathy. You’d be absolutely AMAZED at how much thinner (not to mention richer!) you would be if only you’d quit consuming every single one of those high-fat, overly-sweetened, calorie-laden things you love so much. There’s no point in griping about your “’90s fat” and the diets that don’t work for you if you’re not willing to put in any effort whatsoever to quit eating and drinking the very things causing your weight problem to begin with! :-/

    What Cathy, and others, need is a change in diet that is permanent not a temporary ‘diet’.

    Cold and wet – just above freezing today. Evidently Rouyn – about an hour and a half northeast of us got wet snow earlier today. Blech. But it is near the end of October and this is what we usually get so I guess I cannot complain.

    I hope everyone else here today is having a fun, warm day.

    I just quit eating my desert (1/2 cup ice cream) at 10:00 PM and lost 5 lobs.
