Cathy: Does this look good? Saleswoman: Why do you ask? You always reject my opinion! If I say I love it, you'll hate it! If I say I hate it, you'll yell at me! I give up! If you want to leave the house looking like THAT, young lady, GO AHEAD!! Cathy: Fine! I will! RING IT UP! Saleswoman: Sometimes they just need to hear mom's voice.

The answer is No. It does not look good.

You’re paying good money for this trash?

Good grief she looks bad! Now the outfit is trendy chic, but not right for Cathy’s figure or her age. She needs to take me shopping with her ; )

Cathy sounds like a teenager. With today being Jr’s 18th’s birthday, today’s strip is pretty appropriate (although Cathy sounds more like Lil). Happy Birthday to my sweet Jr! It’s been a wonderful 18 years watching you grow into a lovely adult!

What salesman ever said, “No that’s not a good look on you.” unless they wanted you to buy something more expensive.

Just one word regarding this whole mishmash of ugliness she’s got on right now (which looks even worse in color than it does in black and white if you’re feeling brave enough to check it out): AACK!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Jr….I can’t believe she’s 18 already…we’ve “seen” those kids grow into young adults…

As a sales technique, this line could (in theory) work really well. From a consumer’s point of view, though, either an [eye-roll] or an AACK might seem more appropriate …
HI, MOM, and thanks for the link. Hello, Clan.
