I don’t think I’ve used even 20% of all the stuff my phone is capable of, just with the stuff that comes standard, much less the app store stuff. Yet, still, I am looking at the upgrade with interest.

I understand the “envy upgrade”. I have been on both sides of it.

When I first came to this small town, the public school was the largest employer. (still is) I noticed the school teacher “clique”. You think the students were cliquey, the teachers were worse! They were constantly competing amongst themselves, who had the most good stuff! One got a van…they all did. One had an in ground pool put in…those that could, had a bigger one dug. It was funny watching them scramble to out do each other.

Agree with vaughnrl2003 that I’ve barely used all the features my phone has, yet it is nice to know they are there. For example, I appreciate the magnifier that I’m finding I need more often as I get older and my phone is more accessible than most things. I’m sure there are others that I’m not even aware of. Regardless I can see how dialing by voice is helpful, since we shouldn’t be holding our phone while driving.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

A lot of cars these days have a bluetooth system you plug the cell phone into, then there are buttons on the steering wheel to answer or hang up the phone.

Coincidence! This afternoon I had to drive my wife to North Bay for an MRI (that is the closest one and no, nothing serious). I dropped her off at the hospital and made a bee-line to my lighting supplier. We had a great chat (outside with masks since we are still on lockdown) and I picked up some new toys. I left to go back to the hospital and just as I pulled on to the 4 lane highway my wife called to tell me she was done. Yes, bluetooth and buttons on the steering wheel made it safe to answer her call and let her know I was 15 minutes away. I don’t like pulling over on multilane highways, or even on most of our 2 lane roads at this time of year as the shoulders are not necessarily plowed – and it snowed on and off all day. As far as anything else, the screen on my flip phone is way to small to even consider anything but phone calls.

Turned out to be a good trip even with the snow. I hope you had a good day as well.

Ahh, comic Cathy. Chances are Irving doesn’t need any of this fancy phone tech. But, for bragging rights and personal satisfaction … (or something like that.)

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

Gotta keep up with the Jones’s…I upgraded just so I could store more pics…don’t really care about the rest of the stuff on there.
