Men spend their lives looking for the perfect woman then hope she stays that way, but she always changes. Women spend their lives looking for the man they hope will change into the perfect man, but he never does.

She is not wrong. If it fits now, once you wash them, they won’t fit right anymore.

Why is Irving buying only one pair of his perfect jeans? He needs at least 3 pairs. One to wear, one needs washing, and one saved for “special”.

Are we sure she’s talking about pants?

It might also be a good idea to buy those shop mirrors that make you look so good.

I’ve never had to alter any pair of jeans I’ve ever bought because they somehow, magically, became “too relaxed” after I washed them. If anything, they’re almost always a little too tight when I put them on for the first time afterwards, but it doesn’t really take all that long before they loosen back up and fit more comfortably again.

I think Cathy’s words really apply to people too. I just wished I could shrink in the wash instead of becoming more ’relaxed.

Definitely fall now. We have seen a few flocks of geese stopping by on their way south and the leaves are starting to turn yellow on the birch trees. Neighbours have started to take in their docks so I guess I had better start as well. Had to go into the water today to take out the intake hose for the irrigation pump – that was COLD! I guess the lack of sunshine recently has allowed to water to cool off too much.

Is altering jeans a thing you can do? I never knew.
