Dads are looking for someone to play with and share the fun. Mom is looking for some one to play with and share the guilt. Trouble with Dad is that he will actually walk or go to the gym or do the sit ups. Mom will simply feel more guilt about not doing it.
Mama always got a kick about how much like my father I am. I can still hear her laughing at us when we found out we both liked to dip Burger King hash rounds into maple syrup :)
I try to teach/show my kids that they can indulge in what makes them happy and be healthy at the same time. I know it’s Dad’s week, but not all moms are nutty.
