Mom: 2006! The year we catch up on our watching! Dad: Our watching? Mom: We'll kick off the New Year with the whole first season of "Desperate Housewives" that we missed....then we can catch up on the first six episodes of "Lost"...the fourth episode of "Commander in Chief"...the second and third seasons of "Alias"...and the final season of "Friends". We have complete boxed sets of "Sex and the City," "Seinfeld", "Fraiser" and all but this season of "7th Heaven". ...And just think! If we start now and work at it every day....we could possibly be caught up on "The Sorpranos" by the time it goes back on the air! Dad: Any new year's plans for our actual life? Mom: Of course! Don't be silly! We'll be Tivo-ing the actual life!

Two thousand six or 2017, it makes no difference!

Wow…of all of the shows mentioned, the only one I would even care to watch is “7th Heaven”…and I have…many times. Happy New Year!

Wow! I have never seen any of those shows, either! And don’t care too, either!

I watched 7th Heaven sometimes. Was a big fan of Friends, but I was in the age demographic the aimed for at the time. Man…Chandler was so very good at witty, dry, sarcasm. Anyway… hope you all had a nice night and enjoy New Year!:)

I’d roll my eyes, but I can relate to being really behind on stuff—TV or otherwise.
HI, MOM. Happy New Year, Clan.

I watched Friends back when it was really popular, and Frasier occasionally. I rarely watch TV now because I find “reality” TV terrible in its attempt to be over-the-top, and would prefer to spend screen time on the computer or with a movie.

Happy New Year, Cathy clan!

Wow. What a real “blast from the past” on the Cathy comic strip today! We watched everything she listed except for “Alias,” “7th Heaven” and “The Sopranos” and shows like “Desperate House-wives,” “Lost” and “Sex And The City” were definitely must-watch favorites that absolutely could not be missed back then, no matter what else was going on at the time. Thank goodness for Tivo! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
quanyindove: Chandler was my favorite character on “Friends” for the very reasons you mentioned! ;-)
Hello and Happy New Year, fellow Cathy fans! :-)

Happy New Year everyone! I, sadly, can relate to this. I’m not quite as bad as they are. I’ve only got 3 shows in my Netflix queue, with about four seasons left in each of them, so it won’t take me to long to get caught up.

Never saw any of these shows…I didn’t watch TV from the time I was a teenager until just a couple of years ago…did watch Downton Abbey & that’s what got me started again.
