OMG people, just say “Excuse me, the stall’s free” or “Excuse me, but either use the machine or get off it. Please.” The older I get, the less willing I am to suffer fools. So I don’t.

I was gonna say that the last line here hits the nail on the head. However, the strip makes a good point.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

I guess I don’t mind people talking on the phone to someone while we’re standing in line just as long as they’re not cursing, talking loudly, or about personal subjects that aren’t anyone else’s business AND they’re not holding up the line and keeping me from getting on with the rest of my day. But what I DO mind is anyone doing that in restaurants, theaters, etc., when I’ve paid good money for the privilege of being there to enjoy myself and all that rude telephone talking is ruining it for me. That’s when I feel like it should be totally legal and acceptable to horsewhip the crap out of them in return!

    Hi, rgcviper!

O-Kay: I’m with you on this one.

Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s been having a great weekend so far!

My favorites are the ones that just have an earbud — they really look like they are talking to themselves (sometimes associated with those “little voices” of schizophrenia) :)

I did approach a guy in a restaurant who was talking way too loudly on his cell. We were having a delicious meal and enjoying each other’s company (my wife and daughters were with me). I informed him, very politely (he was much bigger than I am) that his loud conversation was ruining a very good meal. He apologized – turns out he was the owner of the restaurant. Guess he did not realize he could drive people away even though the food was good. (Got a free meal too!) Always afraid of doing that though – some people might take extreme measures to let me know how much they object to my interference – and I break easily.
