Oh for pity’s sake! She’s only griping about women? What about the males with their pants hanging halfway down their behinds and underwear showing or worse buttcrack showing?

I remember the first TV ads featuring bras. Cross your heart. I was around 12 so that would be about 1970. We thought it was totally scandalous. lol Happy Day all.

I agree with Cathy’s mom that we don’t need to see scantily clad women and with Macushlalondra about sagging pants, but give me a male underwear model in a magazine or sales ad anyday! :-)

I’m with Mom on this one. It’s lovely to be young, beautiful and sexy – whichever sex you happen to be – but you don’t have to be sexy in front of the whole world! Some things are much nicer shared with the one you love. And nobody else.

Cathy’s mom isn’t wearing an apron today. Strips like this one are sort of rare.

Cathy’s mom is SO right about this topic and so is Macushlalondra when she said that it should apply to all the males out there too. Why do they think anyone wants to SEE that stuff anyhow? I certainly don’t want to see peoples’ underwear and butt-cracks when I’m out and about trying to get things done! I think everyone should be FULLY CLOTHED when they go out in public and to save all the “unmentionables” for their significant others in the privacy of their own homes. People feel a little too free to do whatever they want these days and don’t seem to care one little bit about the rest of us and how we’d like to be free too . . . free from being forced to look at that stuff!!!!! :-(

    Hi, rgcviper!

Aaron and Dr. Billy: Thinking about you both (and LMB too) today — wherever you all are. Your last post here with us was 10/19 . . . 6 months ago this past Friday. Hope you’re safe and that you come back again soon because we all love and miss you here!!!!!

Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fanatics. Hope everyone’s had a really nice weekend so far. It’s been really weird weather where I live in Southern Indiana. Last Monday through Thursday, we were in shorts when daily high temps were in the high 70’s/low 80’s but for the last 3 days, we’ve been back in jeans and long sleeve shirts again with 30’s for lows and mid-50’s for highs. YIKES! Is Spring EVER going to get here . . . and stay?!?!?

Makes me want to say: GO HOME, WINTER. YOU’RE DRUNK!!!!! ;-)

@GretchensMom: Glad you liked the strips. I posted them at Peanuts because I figured others there would enjoy them also. Hard to believe Charles Schulz has been gone 13 years now. By the way, Cathy Guisewite visited Schulz in the hospital before he died.

Hi Cathyites!!Agreed on the underwear posts. Thanks Hobbes for the “Peanuts” posts — interesting to see the drawings evolve. I saw CG on TV the day Charles Schulz died, with memories of his contribution to the world of comics. Both were wonderful cartoonists in my book!!

@lindz.coop: Charles Schulz was a very private person, but Cathy was one of his few friends in the cartooning world. Lynn Johnston (For Better or For Worse) was another.
