Cathy: What if I get halfway through an online tax return and my mouse freezes?? What if I do the whole thing...am about to press "send"...and the little box pops up saying I'be been disconnected? What if I try to print a backup before my system crashes..my printer runs out of ink..and the 24-hour office store is out of the only cartridge my printer will accept?! Some of us are too experienced to file electronically.

“My printer ran out of ink!” replaced “the dog ate my homework.” As a teacher, I took great delight in replying, “No problem…just e-mail your paper to me.” However, I have had documents disappear into the ether or into my computer, never to be found again (by me, anyway). *#%&@# computers! Can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ’em.
