“Obama’s Priorities are not Americans Priorities.”
I suspect that Obama’s priorities are simply not YOUR priorities. Poll the twenty people closest to you. If they all voted against Obama, they are not representative of America. If they all voted FOR Obama, they are not representative of America. If 9 voted against him and 11 voted for him, then they are representative of America.
shows what a hard road he still has to travel. It had to have been frustrating when the GOP’s first priority was to make him fail and never agree with him on anything. And rough to have a “news” channel that stirs up hatred and divisiveness. And his accusers won’t even listen to what good he has done so that even though he spent less than any recent president, they say he spent more, not thinking about the interest on the debt piling up hourly. So, GOd bless our President for the next 4 years! And if we disagree that doesn’t man I’m stupid or a dim-lib, or one of the horrible names which both sides say at each other. It just means we don’t agree.
What is sad about onguard and skeptikal’s comments is that there are Democrats who feel the exact same way. Our political system was designed to allow experimentation and to give new ideas a chance. Our current political environment does not permit this. If Romney was President, we could be certain the senate would bend over backwards to prevent republican experimentation to take place. Sometimes, you have to do something, even if it might be wrong, in order to fix what is broken. The system is designed to prevent one party from making such significant changes as to make it impossible for another election to reverse the bad things. If Rs and Ds fail to find common ground, we may never know if a given President’s ideas would have helped, and if that happens, the only thing that will prevent other nations from taking advantage of our divisions is our military. If foreign hackers are able to disable our satellites, infrastructure, and/or become able to pinpoint the location of subs and other assets, we will become impotent and vulnerable. When you pray for gridlock, you give our enemies a chance to prey on us.Respectfully,C.
I spoke too generally, TrustedMechanic. Dems have historically been more willing to cross party lines to support Rep bills than the reverse. Whether this is to appease red state voters, amendments favoring a specific D’s state, et al… I agree with you comment. That said, the R’s have some items on the table the D’s find particularly odious & in light of the last four years, may be less willing to be so cooperative.Thank you for saying what I should have added.Respectfully,C.
Eisenhower played more golf than Obama. Unfortunately, presidents never get a “day off”. Even on vacation they have advisors and the “nuclear suitcase” nearby. Personally, I’d rather they stay on vacation than fly back to sign a “Terry Schiavo” type bill. And Obama did fly back to try and work with Congress on the financial mess.
.No, saving it from the destruction wrought by prior Republican administrations is. We have different visions of what America is, and should be, and I would argue that yours is out of touch with 1) what the majority of this country wants, and 2) with the aspirations expressed in the founding documents of this country..This isn’t supposed to be a country run for, and by, the top 1% – which is what the GOP is all about.
Just wanted to say what a great cartoon this is. One of my favorite of all time. The feeling of the difficulties ahead is expressed brilliantly and chillingly. Hopefully he will be able to move us into the future regardless of the mindless obstructions from those who refuse accept change. (see above :-)
Many of the Republican wannabees who were giddy about plans to make Obama a one term President, think they had the last laugh – they didn’t go to the second inauguration, or only put in a token appearance. Cry-babies!
Well, his first term priorities were not mine. His second term priorities as expressed in his inaugural address would pretty much be mine and I hope he puts his actions where his mouth is. There is an America that these priorities might destroy, and it is about 180 degrees opposite to what America was meant to be and should be. But I don’t believe that vicious America can be destroyed that easily.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. I was replying to onguard’s comment “Obama’s Priorities are not Americans Priorities.” If you have information concerning Obama’s priorities to which the rest of us are not privy, please share it.

God bless the president for having the courage to face off against those that only impede progress. A real leader for the 21st century.

Pretty much sums up the Barrack Hussein legacy.

I’ve played this hole at a mini-golf course. The sign there said it was a Par 2.
