Yup. Libel, slander, lying under oath, yelling “fire” in a crowd…all crimes punishable by laws that abridge the First Amendment.

Uh, Night Gaunt 49: the states do have sanctioned militias today, they’re called, the National Guard, administered by the states, unless called up for federal service. Which, the first really big call up was for Iraq and Afghanistan, even in Viet Nam, hardly any guard members served in combat, which was why so many guys joined their guard units.

Gaunt: sorry, guess I wasn’t following the thread close enough. Among the ones you’re talking about are the "Minutemen’ out to “patrol” our boarders, an associate joined up with them, loony toon time!

And, why does Rigtsright keep bringing up old “Jug ears” “W” Bush all the time, with you know, that “unitary president/tyrant, start the wars” guy.

…or he could buy/rent The Ultimate Guide to the Presidents that the History Channel showed this past week. Washington used that amendment to put down one such rebellion..I found the series fascinating as it didn’t leave any president out, but instead organized the data by years.
