The guy on the left is clearly a criminal. The guy with the pistol represents you and I (non-criminal, law-abiding gun owners). Obama is telling the guy with the pistol that he cannot be on equal footing with the criminal. Get it now???

A law abiding gun owner who knows how to shoot accurately only NEEDS one bullet. I’m sorry Mr. Obama felt the only way to deal with this was executive order. It would have been better for this issue to have been settled by the legislature. That said, the legislature doesn’t legislate. It is unwise for the President to use executive orders. It is dishonorable, even criminally negligent, for Congress to do nothing about guns, jobs, emergency assistance and so many other things they should be doing OTHER than giveing themselves good pay and benefits.Respectfully…to the commentators on GC,C.

The cartoon, which is stupid by the way, implies that Obama ONLY wants fairness in taxes. In guns, he wants to give Americans tiny guns and let criminals have AK 47s. Which is not true in reality, of course — both criminals and law-abiding criminals will have access to an ever-reduced supply of assault weapons, and with actual background checks on all sales criminals will have less and less, and increased enforcement means that criminal gun shops will be able to be shut down.

It is my opinion only, but when I view this cartoon I see the revolver pitted against the semi-automatic rifle. Is that a “fair shot”? Obviously, it isn’t. []So, Mr. John Q. Citizen is armed with only a revolver; Mr. Thug is armed with a semi-automatic rifle. Therefore, Mr. John Q. Citizen is at a serious disadvantage.[]President Obama is telling Mr. John Q. Citizen that he has misunderstood the “fair shot” statement that was meant to apply to Tax Policy. Mr. Thug cannot have his semi-automatic rifle removed from the equation. Thus, Mr. John Q. Citizen is vulnerable.[]Does that sound representative of the current situation?

Simple fact, if the guy with the revolver knows what he’s doing with it, and the guy with the rifle is typical of the ones demanding their “right” to have one, he’ll win the duel hands down, as it only takes ONE accurately placed shot, not a wild and inaccurate burst from an “assault” rifle, better called a designed for combat weapon(and suppression, not accuracy).

So, no more passports or drivers licenses, because illegal immigrants can forge them.

No more drunk driving laws, because we can’t catch all the drunk drivers.

No more laws against rape because … oh, wait, Republicans have the whole “violence against women” thing covered already.

“Take a shot-glass full of water. Turn 180 degrees and point it at a light. Do the same with a pitcher. See the difference?”[]That analogy is lost on me. Please explain how it relates.???
