Pig: Hi, Surgeon Bob. Are you ready for Valentine's Day? Surgeon Bob: You bet. I even made my wife this romantic, homemade valentine. I'm big on accuracy. Happy Valentine's Day
Not that accurate…the heart shape is two hearts fused toagather…in love. Makes since when you think about it….not the shape but that love means having your heart ripped out of your chest
Great day for punsters. All this is kind of related to an arc in “Baby Blues,” in which Hammie will be featured in his school play on “Food: The Amazing Journey” as a . . . colon. See http://www.seattlepi.com/comics-and-games/fun/Baby_Blues/2013-02-11/
Interesting how doctors in this strip are always shown wearing their scrubs. He’s going to have to put fresh ones on when he goes back into the OR.@Sisyphos: No, I would not want a PBS surgeon named Bob operating on me. I wonder if he’s related to the surgeon (from an early strip) who amputated the wrong leg?

If I were Surgeon Bob, I would start to worry. Anything named Bob doesn’t have a long life span in this strip.

Here’s a theory about where the classic heart shape came from.

Considering Bob’s line of work, I certainly hope he’s big on accuracy.
