Just toss in a few packets of yeast every once in a while. Bacteria generates its own heat for the system to operate and that’s what keeps the snow gone and the grass green atop it.

I keep mine sharp with ice cubes !Actually, I try not to use mine. I have strainers in my sinks, recycle and have a compost pile.
