    Yes and no. Lucas tended to play up the Joe Campbell archetypical “Hero’s Journey” thing after “Star Wars” became a big hit, but it’s clear the first film owes a big debt to samurai flicks, particularly Kurosawa’s 1958 film “The Hidden Fortress.”

    It would not be logical for Lucas to sue. The probability is 81.36 percent that he would lose and 93.25 percent that bringing the suit would give him a reputation as a bully.
