Wow, what an interesting assumption by MegaL3! I won’t wonder what he or she would think of square dancing (declared the National American Folk Dance by, I believe, former President Nixon), especially Plus level where we sometimes practice “position dancing” with males and females interchanging traditional places in the square. Heck, some calls even have males holding hands for certain maneuvers (which does seem to make a few quasi homophobes a little uncomfortable but they do it anyway), and it’s all great fun.
