Actually, you can wear clothes with a tail. Fred Perry’s comic Gold Digger had a character (Brittany) with a tail. Sometimes the pants just had a simple hole built in, while others had the back seam split into a Y for the tail, with a piece at the waist that would snap over to close at the top. There were pictures of the clothes in the comics, but I can’t find any online right now.

Most dog tails are very useful for sweeping things off the coffee table, or knickknacks on low shelves. A friend had three Irish Setters in the house: nothing of value lived below six feet off the floor.
