Dog: My analysis points to it being anorthosite, an intrusive igneous felsic rock composed mostly of plagioclase...but I'm still not convinced it isn't food...

I’m a dog trainer, and was working with a puppy and his person yesterday. We brought the puppy outside to pee, and it was sniffing around in a planter for a bit. I took hold of the puppy’s leash in order to demonstrate the “heel” position. The puppy coughed, and something fell out of its mouth and onto the sidewalk. I looked down to see what it was, and it was a dime. If the owner walks that dog in the right areas for long enough, he could pay for his own dog food!
