I just remembered why I usually do not look at your ’toon. You appear to be deranged.

I agree with Sen. Hagel that the DoD isn’t a jobs program.

The three men depicted have all been directly involved in reigning violence upon those declared enemies of the U.S. There is nothing abstract in their thinking about death as an option. There is nothing abstract in their understanding of the bloat in parts of our military.

What a dumb cartoon. Even the GOP opposes new taxes, so they implicitly agree that the Defense department needs major cuts. It’s nice to have someone in charge of DoD who actually can do arithmetic. As for the Kerry comments, is Ramirez saying that no war crimes were committed in Viet Nam? Because killing “gook” civilians is fine if it’s good American boys who do it? Disgusting.

Hagel isn’t using facts, he’s using Heritage Foundation talking points. If you put the word “some” in front of Kerry’s line, it reflects what he said. Ever heard of Mai Lai? Abu Ghraib?Hagel has said that unilateral sanctions on Iran won’t work. He’s right. Unless the rest of the world is on board, it’s a futile gesture. Hagel wants effective, worldwide sanctions. Hagel has said Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism. He voted against a meaningless bill labeling the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. Big whoop. Our current budget situation means we need to cut long term spending. That includes cutting our incredible bloated military budget. Conservatives complain about giving Public TV $450 million a year. That’s equal to one F-22.

Here’s a Hagel quote from 2006:“Well, first of all, I think we have to recognize that this Iranian issue does represent a real threat to the United States. … unlike Iraq. This is a real legitimate issue. And I think, before we charge off in going off to another war — we’re in two of them now, in Afghanistan and Iraq — we’d better think through this one carefully and clearly.”Too bad Bush didn’t care to listen to this guy.

That is FUNNY, simply from an artistic standpoint if you don’t agree with the politics.

The actual Three Stooges were funny. The three bozos in the ’toon are, at best, scary.

There was a very smart reason why the Constitution went for funding the Army (“defense”) for only two years at a time. Had we stuck rigidly with that, we’d still have a valid defense, at less than 1/3 the cost of today. BTW $68,000 for a single hellfire missile, used now instead of a single bullet, is a valid illustration of how far over the fiscal cliff the military-industrial complex has driven us. Toilet seats are passe.

The appeasement works line never has been said, however Obama has spoken as to the USA not bossing around the rest of the world. The usa is 350 million of 7 billion

Karry has spoken in favor of Americans being treated as regular war criminals and not simply being shielded from international law. Something that should happen. When you say that the other side is the only one ever guilty you really burn your credibility

While Hagel did say that the Revolutionary guards should not be listed as a terrorist organization. It is generally counter intuitive to negotiations when you announce somebody as an enemy whom must be defeated and may be killed at will.

I thank you for bringing to light how many avoided addressing this, should we bare fundamental differances in opinion then i suppose this has meerly explained my worldview
