Yep, and he used to be on their team, before they moved to loonyville. (And the opposition about the gay comments are from the left, not really from elephants, if the cartoon were to be accurate. I have yet to hear anyone in the GOP who has problems with Hagel trash-talking gay people.)

Listening to all the Republicans complain about Hagel’s correct comments on Israel, and the “lobby” representing that nation, one could only assume Israel is our 51st state, or maybe number one? 1.5% of the American population is Jewish. The entire Jewish population, in the world, represents only two-tenths of one percent of that population.

Just based on the statistical factor, why does 99.8% of U.S. foreign policy follow the dictate of AIPAC and the “Jewish lobby” Hagel correctly, and without any prejudice, actually identify as a fact?

If the entire U.S. population were Muslim, they would only represent 20% of that world population. We constantly let RELIGIOUS prejudice, Christian and Jewish, mandate our policy, politics, and popular misconceptions.

Is there any question WHY the founding fathers properly wrote Article Six, and the First Amendment to OUR Constitution?

It should be noted that ALL those “tacklers” the ’toon brings on are totally RELIGIOUS prejudice, and clearly driven in large part by the popularity of ignorance in America, yes, propagated by certain “lobbies”.

Hagel is a good guy, who calls it as he sees it, and his vision is sharper than most. That is why most of his detractors have used distorted myopia to finger paint their image of him they want to present.

BTW: nobody “wins” TWO Purple Hearts, and as enlisted, not an officer, Hagel saw, and did, more, and as a veteran with real experience, knows how to read “world affairs”, and know what Defense really means, and needs. (He’s demonstrated that repeatedly, even as a Republican!)

Please. These are all manufactured, because they can’t discuss what they really disagree with – belief that the military is too bloated and inefficient, that the money is going to fatcat contractors who contribute to Republican campaigns.

Ian: Don’t kid yourself, the F-22 was a total piece of junk, and won out in trials over the far superior "F-23 design, because the contractor “created” jobs in almost every Congressional district in the nation for that piece of junk. BOTH parties suck from the “defense” contractors’ teats, to get kickbacks from those government contracts.

P.S. while I defend the rights of “minorities”, I do NOT support over-aggressive minorities, who lead us into repeated wars, or disasters, pulling the stings of our government actions. Please note where three of those four “attacks” come from.

Hagel is being considered for Defense. The best defense is definitely NOT an over-aggressive, and stupid preemptive offensive. That includes foreign nations, AND “business interests” here at home who keep getting our PEOPLE killed, for their “profit”.
