It is such a joy to see improvements in our natural water qualities, Soon it will be time for the nations of the world to start cleaning up our oceans.

Well, since the Chesapeake Bay is a small part of the Atlantic Ocean, it’s a start.

yes, without the big BP oil spill, which was a natural occurance since humans are natural, we would never have seen such improvement! the regulations and laws never work, and obviously have not worked here, were a waste of money, and did nothing but to hurt poor poor overburdened BP and cost us gas guzzlers more money.god bless bp for improving the gulf in spite of the evil democrats in the USA.

Lol. Petroleum, nitrate fertilizers and carbon dioxide are all “organic” so they are not pollution!

It’s nice to see the blue crab (theState Crustacean of Maryland) doing so well.

When I first moved to my home near the James River, no one was allowed to eat the fish because it was so toxic. Gas companies want to frack for gas in the national forests that feed into the Chesapeake bay on the east and towards the Mississippi River to the west. The companies mining fracking do not want to tell anyone what is in the liquid they are using to break up the gas and bring it to the surface. I do not know if fracking is good or not, but I do not think it is good for our government to not know exactly what is being pumped into our water supply. I would also prefer to see wind turbines spinning off of the shores of Virginia Beach, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and the Eastern Shore than oil rigs. Wind turbines might kill a bird now and then, but they don’t cause massive oil spills that destroy entire coastlines.Respectfully,C.

C Dpwns: Offshore wind farms kill far fewer per square mile than skyscrapers or jet aircraft flyways. In fact Danish studies showed that gulls and cormorants like to nest on the service platforms of the turbines, while other birds view the farm as one item and fly around.Mark Desholm and Johnny Kahlert, National Environmental Research Institute, Rønde, Denmark.

No wonder they want to keep it a secret. -Also, having to resort to this could be an indication we are running out and they don’t want us to know that either.
