Unfortunately, the first thing on his To Do List got done. Taking over a $100 a month from the average worker each month. With all the increased fees and healthcare costs on the way, we don’t need anymore of those items on his To Do List.
In case you’re wondering why I keep responding to all of Ima’s posts with, ‘Reagan’ here’s one he put up yesterday:[]From now on there will be a new LAW OF IMA. Whenever anyone rants about Reagan it is because they have lost an argument or can’t come up with something coherent. All here can join in the fun when libs mention Reagan. all shout LAW OF IMA!!!!!!!!!!! and watch heads spin.[]So, I say, let’s all give the guy what he wants
When asked what their biggest accomplishments of their presidencies were, Carter said the Camp David Peace Accords,Clinton said ending the Bosnian War(I think), Bush Sr. had a good one that I can’t find, but W. Bush said the greatest accomplishment during his time in office was catching a very large fish while vacationing on his ranch in Texas.I do wish I could remember what his father had said. Drain bamage.I hope Bush Sr. is comfortable and surrounded by loved ones. One might not agree with his politics, but his service to his country was sincere and overall, as good as it could be considering his paradigm.Respectfully,C.
Another example of liberal “thinking”. Obama has a plan for this country. Many in Congress, perhaps a majority, think that is terrible for the country. In the best interests of the US they oppose his plans. Why on earth should they support them. Of course they want to undo everything he wants. If they didn’t they would betray their constituents.
If you were in Congress and the conservative president said I wish to eliminate social security, medicare and welfare would you vote yes because that was your duty? Of course as a responsible liberal you would oppose everything he wanted. Today’s responsible conservative opposes almost everything Obama wants and correctly votes no.
We used to have moderate Democrats and moderate Republicans. Their prime goal was to get re-elected and they did. Then the Democrats moved far to the left and in turn the Republicans have moved far to the right. You will note we start primary campaign fights to eliminate those Republicans who did indeed support higher taxes, bigger government and cradle to grave entitlements. What has Obama given us? Millions and millions unemployed, a debt of $16.4T and an annual deficit of $1.4T. The only responsible action is to oppose him, his programs and try and steer our ship of state towards fiscal sanity.
Hello Ansonia,I truly do try to avoid using “liberal” sources when presenting my thoughts, I initially heard the story on CNN but a brief hunt on the net provided this source as well.http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2006/may/08/usa.germany“Asked by Germany’s Bild am Sonntag newspaper what he considered to be his greatest triumph, President Bush replied: “I’ve experienced many great moments. It’s hard for me to name the greatest.” He went on: “I would say that the best moment of all came when I caught a seven-and-a-half pound perch while fishing on my lake.”I personally believe the work he did to help reduce aids in Africa is one of Mr. Bush’s greatest achievements and one for which he gets too little credit. As far as keeping us safe goes, Richard Clark and Joe Wilson have insights with which I have more sympathy. We have had some outstanding men and women serving our nation to whom I give the credit for keeping us safe since 9/11/01.Glad to see you survived the New Year, Ansonia.Take care.C.
I hope 2013 congress decides to cooperate and work FOR the PEOPLE and what they want instead of playing political games and messing up the government and economy !
Ah, if only Republicans actually WERE trying to undo the evil things Obama does. Unfortunately, they are only posturing, pretending; because they only want more power for themselves. Just like Democrats did when Bush was President. And thus, the USSA continues its self-degradation to a totalitarian police state, to a nation of slaves rather than free human beings.
