She thinks his college career is a waste of time, but not money, since she continues to fund it.Zipper’s parents must be 1%ers.

@dylanthomas3.14159 I think it’s a lot more likely that Jeff is drinking caffeinated soda, and that an alcoholic sees a can and assumes beer.

@jnik23260 Zipper is on scholarships, for playing football and for being a legacy student. His parents aren’t paying for college.

love the word “larval”, such an image. Must be a 1%er, with no way to discharge college debts nowaday, not even bankruptcy, Zip and other college students have to be super Rich or become one of the Destroyers of the American Way/aka Elite. Thanks to the Elites, Feudalism/Fascism American Sytle works!

are we sure that’s beer? so early in the morning! yipes,

Some of those early morning drinkers may be alcoholics, others are just drinking because they are celebrating something perhaps…

That’s a disposable coffee cup, not a beer can. Zipper must have brought him a coffee.

It’s confusing but, yeah I think it’s the same deal as Duke & Zonker… Man, I’ve been reading GT forever, I I still get caught out at times… Think that’s the way it’s is with Zonker & Zipper “Uncle” is like Duke & his “nephew” Zonker…

I agree. “It’s the larval stage of your greatness” will go down as one of GT’s greatest lines. It sums Zipper up. There’s nothing more to be said about him. A brilliant summing up.

Perhaps he is drinking a Coke. From my experience, that’s what most college students drink for breakfast.

I always thought it was one of those energy drinks, too. Fairly certain he fits the profile. Also, isn’t Zonker paying for his college? Since he’s a Duke, or whatever he is, I thought he had tons of money now and is helping out his nephew.

Was just pointing out that there is a larger likelihood that it is NOT alcohol than that it IS, to my mind, anyway. I don’t buy that it is a “C”. I reckon it’s just the edge of the label. At calimesajim – what the hell are you talking about?

You really are a bit obsessed with this so OK, I will accept it could be a C or an O. Perhaps C for “couldn’t care less” or O for “Oh, perhaps somebody might think this is alcohol”.
