the NRA membership and promotion is for LEGAL GUN OWNERS who obey the laws.-Hollywood has a history of teaching American youth the “how to” commit every possible crime, including how to get illegal guns to use in criminal activities. Movies, electronic games, comic books and TV that hypes violence. Hollywood is a root cause of violence-addicted “education” that produces mass shooters who select GUN-FREE places to do their killings.

After all the liberals shouting that only police officers and military should have guns, why did denny’s forbid a police officer from bringing a gun into the restaurant? .Why are liberal papers calling for the deaths of NRA members now? Aren’t they wanting everyone to get along? .Where are the libs who said that they aren’t asking for a full gun ban? Have you seen the proposals from Feinstein and Illinois?

This reminds me of one person’s response to the mantra that violent video games are to blame for mass shootings: “blaming video games for gun violence is like blaming the obesity epidemic on Pac-Man.”

Remember all those John Wayne (who never served in the military) flicks about “killing is cool”, or his character “Rooster Sociopath”? While video games and movies have become more violent, with the advent of automatic, and semi-automatic weapons being readily accessible, gee, it reflects the updating of technology from old “Duke” philosophy.

How come Mr. Ima never points out that bullets tearing through human flesh kills people? An inconvenient truth?

It’s a fact: If one person is at all guilty, NOBODY else is.

I’ve seen my share of bloodshed on the silver screen. Regardless of the merits of the film whether it’s a Oscar contender like Zero Dark Thirty or a slasher flick the 1st amendment protects the rights of the filmmakers. Someone who’s mentally unbalanced will unfortunately carry out their carnage regardless of what movies or games they’ve played. Making Hollywood the scapegoat is shirking the responsibility of our society to better protect us against people getting their hands on assault weapons that serve only 1 purpose, to kill.

from www.breitbart.com=“FBI: More People Killed with Hammers, Clubs each year than Rifles”….1/3/13….-the criminals kill people, and society must identify that fact as the problem that needs a solution, not ownership of guns or hammers or clubs or baseball bats!

Motion pictures used to have standards, I believe they were self-imposed. Some things were avoided: 2 people in the same bed, consumption of alcohol, a large number of deaths, and specific details of a crime. We need to return to the days of yesteryear.

“Movies plant the ideas for murder”So what’s your solution, Tigger? Should the government ban movies? Or regulate their content? Oh, wait…you’re a Republican, and against big, intrusive government unless it is used to force Christianity on everyone…

Books also plant the idea for murder, like if you mix cotton and wool in your garment, you shall be killed, if you work on Sunday (or whatever your particular “sabbath”) you WILL be killed! If you refuse to turn down the TV when daddy tells you to, you SHALL be taken out and stoned to death by the neigbors!

Yes, insanity does spread from the “media” at hand, given the “times”, and popular acceptance of “values”.

Tigger, why are you pretending that I said banning guns will stop mass killings? Do you enjoy strawmen that much? Or are you doing it to continue avoiding answering the question I asked you earlier in the thread?

One day you’ll learn to read and we’ll all be better off for it. You’re making false statements because your anger got the best of you. It’s ok, we knew you’re not perfect..Liberals were screaming that only officers should carry. end of sentence for your dred..question. why did denny’s attempt to forbid officers from carrying?.see how easy that is?

Ima: I know of three cases locally where people were killed by guns, and nobody had a finger on the trigger. Firearms WILL discharge when dropped. Safeties have improved, but . . .

What about that biblical god who massacred every innocent unborn child on the planet with his flood?I’m pro-life, so I think christianity is the most evil religion on the planet because of this massacre.
