That is a classic DC snow storm, destined to shut down businesses and snarl traffic, because when people do get home, they have to rush out and buy toilet paper.

Hey, they’re better at forecasting snow (albeit one flake) than the Weather Network!

so they moved to Georgia. If someone throws an ice cube out the window they panic and close schools. Everyone runs to the grocery store convinced they will never see bread, milk, eggs, and fried chicken ever again.

No problem here. We always keep the shelves stocked in case of gubbmint takeover.

I was in Houston when a “snowstorm” of 1/4 inch shut down the city for a day and a half.

… don’t you mean no 2 ‘flakes’ are alike? :).Reminds me of a snowfall in Edmonton….the residents complained they got Vancouver snow. ie ``undriveable``. . We don`t get much snow in Vancouver, but when we do…..it turns to bumpy ice when it hits the road. Its very nice though, on the mountains. .time to raid the grocery store.

Apparently we may actually get snow. But also apparent is the fact that here, one inch is a lot.

I spent many years living in snow zones, including 2 long years exiled in Connecticut. So, though I am a Southerner – born and bred – I can handle the snow. But I’ve noticed most northerners cannot handle hot weather.

yes, it works both ways, sotherners handle heat but not ice, notherners melt but have the duck walk down. Stick a humidity loving person in the desert and watch them fall over from heat exaustion when they forget to drink that stupid bottle of water they’re carrying around, stick a New Mexican in Mississsippi in high summer and watch them drip in 90 degree weather.
