I am a lifelong fan of Tolkien too and I am enjoying these series.

The “ball hog” reference in Bored of the Rings was hilarious, though. Some nice parodies of the poetry in the book also (“Oh, Heaven help the Working-Elf!”);

ugh, another week of this? I read the book already, I don’t need to read it again using outside characters. I haven’t seen the movie but I did see the old cartoon, I don’t need to see it rein acted here. I’m sure pretty much everyone has either read the book or seen one of the movies. There’s no reason to tell us a story we already know. My main fandom is Star Wars and if he spent a month acting out a Star Wars movie I’d feel the exact same way as I do now.

I read The Hobbit my first time in Jr. High.Many years ago…

It cracks me up Heart calling Smeagol “Frog Boy”. Trying to imagine Frodo or Bilbo doing that.
