    here in winter, some bags end up being insulating material in the footwear for some folks working outside in temps that end up in the minus of at times 10 below. along with the three pairs of socks and other items.

    Trader Joe’s and now Ralph’s have reusable plastic bags for sale cheap that are high capacity and damn near indestructible. Use ’em!

    Those plastic bags wouldn’t last long as reusables. After their initial use for groceries, I use them for the automatic litter box. Since I started using cloth bags, which hold more are washable, the only plastic bags we get from the store are when my husband decides to make a side trip for something he wants to take to work for lunch.

    Woo! If we pick plastic, we’re polluting the world. If we pick paper, we’re destroying the forests. If we use cloth, they get unsanitary. Maybe we could just carry the items out to the car one at a time, and reduce obesity!
