I let a girl put some eye makeup on me once, when I was young. It wasn’t on my face. (I can’t believe I went there. It’s not like me to go there.)

Been there, done that – when my sister was alive, she owned a salon and at times I ended up being a subject of her ‘experiments’…. Corn rows, sunglitzing, etc. just wasn’t me. At the time, I tolerated it and now, I miss that…^^Memories keep our departed love ones alive, my friend

You must be really old. My snickers mocha with no whipped cream is so much better than pepsi :).

As for the comic, beauty is painful Brad. Deal with it.

As Mad Magazine noted years ago, “You know you’re getting older when you drink Pepsi not to make you feel young, but to help you burp…” :p^^Must be something wrong with me, I drink it cause I like the taste! ;)(Hate Coke…stuff burns like acid, going down)

@Brdshtt remember a parody of the Dennis the Menace comic years ago. It showed Dennis’ mom with a horrified look on her face as Dennis held up a skull. The caption was, “Look what I found inside Mr. Wilson’s head”

^^One of my faves, actually a reworded version of a real strip… in the original, Dennis is carrying a bunch of empty seed packets on sticks and says: “Look what I found in Mr Wilson’s GARDEN!”

I’m going to comment on the Comments: This is an enjoyable thread today! I enjoyed Mikeyj’s rant and got touched by Brdshtt’s heart for his sister. And I’m in my 70’s and grew up with hot chocolate topped with marshmallow cream as my beverage of choice.

I think this is a sweet moment between them. Fun is always a good idea. Personally, I’d prefer it if we didn’t know they were doing the deed. It would be nice to see them actually wait until they got married for that. Making out is one thing. Let’s have them wait for the other. Please?

Amen, Leviticus! Brad is moving in the wrong direction. I feel like we are seeing the sexual insecurities of the writer played out before us. Kind of painful wo witness his ineptitude.

Ever watch one of those old black-and-white movies where sex is only lightly suggested, leaving the viewer to fill in the blanks for himself/herself? I’m thinking of an old Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert flick…name escapes me right now. Modern movies remove any doubt at all, often in graphic detail. Which is the more charming of the two approaches?

Brad and Toni may well have consumated their relationship long ago, but this strip does appear in newspapers and there’s no way Greg is going to make sure we know they HAVE and still be in all of them. It’s as much a business decision to dance gingerly around sex as an artistic one.

Brad, because I don’t wear eye makeup (or any other kind), putting contacts into my eyes totally freaked me out— just like the mascara freaks you out. Too many eyeball/olive jokes.

I have to say that I like the pics you post at times. I agree that they are a commentary on the strip. I remember one that you did of Tiffany, she actually looked pretty… in contrast to how she is portrayed in the strip itself, where I find her hideous.

On school trips if a guy fell asleep he might very well wake up decorated. The more macho he was the more likely.

re: pictorial comments. Website links I have NO problem with, embeded picts slow down my poor slow machine/connetion enough that it has taken over 5 minutes to load the comments (and thus be able to change the comic) on some that are over picture spoofed (think peanuts). So while I don’t mind the pictures as comments if they’re links, please don’t go sticking half a dozen pictures in everyday or I have to skip Luann!

As a woman, I wear makeup (or not) according to what I think will be expected by those I plan to see. At home, little or none even for my lover. If he will be showing me to others a little more makeup so noone will think such a handsome man is settling. If I am going anywhere with my daughter or youngest granddaughter, the max I can tolerate, as all her friends are pretentious fools.

It could happen like this: B & T are in a restaurant. T says, “Let’s go to my house and watch a movie.” At T’s house she says, “Oh golly I don’t have any movies.” Brad has an expression of semi shock. However next frame we see T’s house, the sun rising, two cars in the driveway. Happy ending. Ready for another arc.

How many women (or men?) have actually stabbed themselves in the eyeball that way, from being startled or a sudden earthquake or otherwise having their concentration broken?
