How many Americans can realize that for kids in Afghanistan for a decade, for kids in Iraq two decades, and in Gaza for four decades, with Predators, Hellfires, or just random “preemptive defense”, this has been every day life? We bring violence on others, and if they respond against us, we bring more on THEIR kids, yet will not regulate the source of “home grown violence”, because of politics, and profits, not “defense”.

Dianne Feinstein’s bill is the right idea, but the wrong solution. There is no point in outlawing guns. They are out there, there are millions, they are made of metal and will last for a thousand years if they are kept oiled. Failing that, I could find materials in my basement that would produce a workable gun, and it doesn’t take much knowledge of the subject to figure out how to do it.

Bullets, on the other hand, are time consuming to make and require specific equipment. Production of enough to do serious damage would require planning and patience that are not characteristic of those who shoot up elementary schools. And, working on such a project might attract the attention of someone sane.

Bullets can be individually stamped, and their sale can be registered, so that every bullet can be traced back to the person who purchased it. This way, a guy who wants to buy a couple boxes of bullets to go shoot deer, or the woman who wants a box to keep with the gun in her bedside drawer, won’t set off any warning bells. But the guy who is buying an arsenal will attract attention before he finds a more lethal way to do it.

Say WHAT.. what third rate education do you have?..if any? Gun Control Laws WORK.. if your theory was correct then explain to me why over 60 percent of all homicides involve guns that were LEGALLY purchased? You my friend or sad excuse for a human being. You are more concerned about having a gun then that of a life of a child. Out gun control laws are HORRIBLE and .. never mind. Your a waste of human flesh and .. just jump off the planet would ya.. thanks for spiting on the graves of children AZZhole.

I want to follow the Constitution – period. Anything else is tyranny – the kind of stuff Obama enjoys.

Ruff – I’m not getting into the anti-gun debate caused by this incident. What we have as American citizens are a list of protected rights and a blueprint for government that our leaders SHOULD have to follow… Since I haven’t really seen any sensible people rally around this fact, on any side- and our hole-card Justice Roberts even jumped ship – you nuts will do whatever you want even if it makes sense or not – without thinking about the consequences. Arguing with a bunch of tyrannists who are happy with that as the status quo is futile.

Training gets rid of nutcases? Have you been paying attention to Fort Hood, for one?

ThePuppyUnbound!!! has the cutest name ever (cant stop picturing that in my head, a mirthful thought) but really needs to bone up on his Constitutional interpretation. No, it really DOESN’T say that the average American has the right to own automatic and semiautomatic weapons, unless, like Ruff says (another cute name:-)), they are part of a “well regulated Militia”. So stand down. Good puppy.
