I used to work in an ER — the first thing we used to do to injured people was to take a large pair of scissors and cut the clothing off . I still remember some of the heated discussions I had with seriously injured teen girls about the necessity of cutting off their designer jeans and very fancy underwear, while they were still strapped to a backboard.
