Oh, and you’re not being silly, Alice? (Hi, everyone, “backwards MORMON” here. Sorry I’ve absent for a about week. My profile went screwy somehow. So “templo SUD” my new GoComics name from now on.)

Go ahead, Alice, as long as there’re ice cubes left for Daddy’s scotch.

It’s like a science, Peter! Don’t you get that? No silly Ice Cube Dance. But do be sure to recite the poem.

—And on the Blog (orange “B” button, right of the strip), a new car (at the 2008 Washington Auto Show) even smaller than Peter’s Honda-Tonka Cuisinart!

In the school where I taught for 30+ years, not only did you have to flush an ice cube & recite a rhyme, you also had to wear your pajamas inside out. I hope Alice isn’t disappointed because she didn’t know about it. I was asked numerous times by my students to be sure to do the whole ceremony so we could have a snow day. Teachers like them too!!

This is a comic. Tomorrow we’re supposed to get 12-24 inches of snow. Coincidence?

Looks like this belief has spread into the real world:
