    I smell a setup. Since when has Duke ever cared about democracy or human rights?

    Given the record of Egypt, perhaps the place already has a new dictator.

    “Do you think [Duke] does care?”

    No. I think Duke sees Trff as hard to handle. He wants to make him pliable and obedient so that Duke can arrange with his CIA cronies to return Trff to power in Berserkistan. (My prediction only; I could be wrong.)

    Trff didn’t pay for his extraction from Berserkistan; the CIA “black ops” did. (YOUR tax dollars at work!). Likewise, Trff won’t pay for his reinstatement; the CIA will. (Again YOUR tax dollars at work!)

    You’re all wrong. Duke is smart. He knows which way the wind is blowing and is telling it like it is, pure & simple.

    Didn’t have a clue about who Buble was. Thank god for Google. We didn’t get the flying cars or the jet packs, but we got instant information about almost everything known to man….fair trade….

    I think Duke doesn’t want him to leave his household because he’s probably claiming Trff as a dependent on his income taxes.

    Flip side, he might not want to call attention to Trff’s presence, if he’s in the US illegally and Duke could be in trouble for harboring an illegal alien.

    Hence the reason for my original comment ! But Metalica ? Why not just resurrect The Grateful Dead ? That’d be some serious partying.

    If we are resurrecting bands, I would have to go with The Beatles. I think they had major appeal to a super wide group of people.

    “… Saddam Hussein got off easy compared to what they’d do to you if you tried go back.”

    And you think, gmartin997, that Duke, after he pocked the $$$$$, would care ‘bout what happened to poor lil’ Trff in far-off Berzerkistan?

    @DTPi

    “And if I did get another life, ramonesfan, what would I do with the one I have now? Give it to you? Get your own life.”

    I don’t normally sit in front of my computer and laugh at the screen, even on gocomics, but “You really got me this time.” (Emmylou H.) It was so much fun I reread the thing several times so I could laugh some more!

    This is completely off subject, but, I saw a post above that mentioned Barry Manilow. I was listening to the Christmas Traditions channel on satelite radio. “Baby it’s Cold Outside” was sung by Mr Manilow and a lady named K T Oslin(sp). I thought it to be an interesting juxtaposition.

    I don’t normally comment on the snarkiness or idiocy of trolls but the person who made the inane comment directed at DylanThomas3.14159 really either needs to go off and read a strip less interactive( Garfield re-runs perhaps ), or spend some time reading the articulate and inciteful ideas put forth by my friend Pi.We are not here to act as mirrors, agreeing with everythig someone says, but the joy of being here is reading what others have to say. Not many can express their thoughts as elegantly as D.T. pi ! Don’t ever stop, old friend !
