It is so amazing how people feel free to comment without having any basic knowledge. Read the US Constitution, the Federalist papers, the Declaration of Independence. We were formed as 13 (now 50) separate independent states each with all the power the Federal government now has. 50 laboratories to determine competitively what is best. Read Article 1 Section 8. All the powers are retained by the states and the Federal government only has limited enumerated powers.What you want is not our US but a future Greece. BTW, California can balance its budget if it simply cut government union salaries and benefits. They haven’t been touched.
