Marigold: I have seen civilizations rise and fall. I have seen oceans become deserts become forests. I have how to starts how the starts begin and end. And that photo of your father mid-sneeze is the best thing. Phoebe: BEST THING.
Either Marigold existed before creation or as Night-Gaunt49 suggests, she just has the power to see all of creation. That look in her eyes in the third panel seems to suggest the later. I tend to get that feeling when I gaze into the eyes of my horse. The horse has one of the largest eyeballs of any land animal, its easy to get lost in there.
