There IS a difference between “free speech” and the propaganda machine Rupert runs, and the damage he does. Hearst was a piker by comparison, even his “yellow journalism” didn’t cause the damage of Rupert’s blood stained brown piles.

So sad, so true — why can’t the Fox News viewers see that they are being used. Murdoch is a provocateur of the worst kind.

Rupert’s president of Fox News USA is Roger Ailes, one of the original provocateurs of the “Southern Strategy”…….………………..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

You might disagree with some of their commentators, but it’s a fact that Fox’s news reporting is some of the best in the world. Ask any unbiased reporter. I know they’re hard to find, but they would agree.

Commercial media sell a product (viewers/listeners/readers) to a customer (Viagra/Toyota/Geico/etc.) Fox News has one of the most well-defined, targetable products in media history..What other “news” outfit has ever in history attracted such a zealous and unquestioningly devoted product?

“Look, my viewers are idiots…..” If you wonder how those idiots think, look at conservGovs post above. Also, I assume Ima and Tigger will be chiming in at some point. Perfect illustration of Danzinger’s comic today.

Americans need to read up on this man who owns 75% of the media in Austrailia, and a large percenatage of it in Britain and the USA as well. He is not a republican, but the agenda he pursues is most closely aligned to Republicans and he uses his “lobbying arm”, Fox news, to encourage conservatives to “hold the line” of divisiveness. He reminds of William Randolph Hearst who, just before the Spanish American War, responded to a telegram from one of his Journalists in Cuba. The reporter said, there is no sign of war here, the reports are wrong. Hearst sent back, “You send me the pictures, I’ll provide the war.”Murdoch does not have “American” values and does not cherish our Constitution. Do a bit of reading on the man. He’s dangerous.C.

Visitors to Hearst Castle State Park today can see what they think is “opulence”. What they see is only a small portion of what Hearst had on the site, most remains stored away. That is what Murdoch really is, hidden wealth, for himself, and hidden danger for the rest of the world. He doesn’t care.
